2016年10月19日下午，塞浦路斯大學Polycarpou教授應邀在江甯校區伟德 官网1号樓4樓會議室做題為“關鍵基礎設施系統的智能故障監測”的學術報告。會議由伟德 官网院長姜斌教授主持，伟德 官网部分師生參加了報告會。
Polycarpou教授的報告從“關鍵基礎設施系統”、“故障監測”、“互聯信息物理融合系統”、“分布式故障診斷”、“多傳感器故障檢測與隔離”五個方面展開。
首先介紹了關鍵基礎設施系統（Critical Infrastructure Systems）的定義和應用場景，并深入淺出地為我們講解了智能故障監測及故障診斷的四個步驟，即故障檢測，故障隔離，故障辨識和風險評估，故障調節。随後，Polycarpou教授詳細介紹了互聯信息物理融合系統的故障定義和控制器設計目标，介紹了分布式傳感器故障診斷的設計思路，指出了魯棒性和結構故障的敏感度設計要求，并分别提出了局部和全局的傳感器故障隔離條件。最後介紹了自學習方法在故障診斷方向的研究，有很大的應用價值及發展前景，這極大地鼓舞了我們控制學科師生的研究熱情。
最後Polycarpou教授與到場的師生進行了交流互動，耐心解答了師生提出的學術問題并與到會老師合影。

Marios M. Polycarpou is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Director of the KIOS Research Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks at the University of Cyprus. His teaching and research interests are in intelligent systems and networks, adaptive and cooperative control systems, computational intelligence, fault diagnosis and distributed agents. He has published more than 300 articles in refereed journals, edited books and refereed conference proceedings, and co-authored 7 books. He is also the holder of 6 patents. Prof. Polycarpou is a Fellow of the IEEE and IFAC, and has served as the President of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society between Jan. 2012 – Dec. 2013. He has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems between 2004-2010. He is the recipient of the 2016 IEEE Neural Networks Pioneer Award. Prof. Polycarpou has participated in more than 60 research projects/grants, funded by several agencies and industry in Europe and the United States, including the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant.
