2017年7月19日，應伟德 官网副院長阮新波教授邀請，IEEE Fellow、IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics(TIE)主編、西班牙塞維利亞大學Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授來我院進行交流訪問。
當天下午，Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授首先參觀了多電飛機電氣系統重點實驗室和江蘇省新能源發電與電能變換重點實驗室,并對我系在航空電源、高效電能變換技術、航空起動/發電等方面的研究成果給予了高度評價。
7月20日上午，在南航江甯校區電氣樓學術報告廳，Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授做了題為“The Essential Role and the Continuous Evolution of Modulation Techniques for Voltage-Source Inverters in the Past, Present, and Future Power Electronics”的學術報告。會議由伟德 官网副院長阮新波教授主持，電氣系90多名師生參加了學術報告會。Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授首先其研究團隊在風力發電、太陽能光伏發電、智能電網、波浪發電、高壓直流傳輸系統等領域中高性能電力電子變化器的研究成果。随後，對功率變換器的拓撲結構、調制方法、驅動信号的産生方法、控制策略等方面進行了系統介紹和展望。報告結束後，Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授與參會師生針對報告内容進行了熱烈讨論。
Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授目前擔任TIE國家電氣領域頂級期刊主編。學術報告結束後，他又給大家做了題為“Hints for successful research publication An Industrial Electronics Perspective”的報告。首先詳細介紹了TIE期刊的情況。其次，介紹了撰寫國際頂級期刊論文的的研究論文的技巧。最後針對師生們提出的問題給予了詳細的解答，并與部分師生代表拍照留念。
Leopoldo G. Franquelo教授簡介：Leopoldo G. Franquelo (M’84–SM’96–F’05) was born in Málaga, Spain. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla, Seville, Spain, in 1977 and 1980, respectively. His research interests include modulation techniques for multilevel inverters and application to power electronic systems for renewable energy systems. Dr. Franquelo has been an IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Distinguished Lecturer since 2006. He became an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS in 2007, the Co-Editor-in-Chief in 2014, and has been its Editor-in-Chief since 2015. He was a Member-at-Large of the IES AdCom (2002–2003), the Vice President for Conferences (2004–2007), and the President Elect of the IES (2008–2009). He was the President of the IES (2010–2011) and is an IES AdCom Life member. He has received a number of Best Paper Awards from IEEE journals. In 2012 and 2015, he was the recipient of the Eugene Mittelmann Award and the Antohny J. Hornfeck Service Award from IES, respectively.
