2018年8月20日,應伟德 官网副院長阮新波教授邀請,IEEE Fellow、美國田納西大學(University of Tennessee, Knoxville,縮寫為UTK)Fred Wang教授來我院進行交流訪問。
當天上午10:30,在南航江甯校區電氣樓學術報告廳,Fred Wang教授做了題為“Power Electronics Research and Education in CURENT: Converters and Systems”的學術報告。會議由伟德 官网副院長阮新波教授主持,電氣系80多名師生參加了學術報告會。Fred Wang教授首先介紹了CURENT 研究中心(Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks)的研究方向、團隊、科研項目等情況。随後,Fred Wang教授介紹了CURENT 研究中心圍繞電力電子在“公共電網及分布式能源”、“交通電力系統”兩個方向的研究工作,包括可用于電力系統硬件仿真的電力電子模拟器、多端直流輸電系統、智能電網、低成本、高可靠性新能源發電與儲能、SiC器件的驅動與保護等豐富的研究内容。報告結束後,Fred Wang教授與參會師生針對報告内容進行了熱烈讨論,并參觀了多電飛機電氣系統工信部重點實驗室和江蘇省新能源發電與電能變換重點實驗室。
Fred Wang教授簡介: Dr. Fei (Fred) Wang is a professor and Condra Chair of Excellence in Power Electronics at the University of Tennessee. He holds a joint position in Oak Ridge National Lab. He is the Technical Director of CURENT. His experience also includes 8 years as an associate professor and the Technical Director at the Center for Power Electronics at Virginia Tech, and 10 years as an engineer and R&D manager at General Electric. Dr. Wang obtained his BS from Xi’An Jiaotong University, China, MS and PhD from University of Southern California, all in electrical engineering. His interests include power electronics and power systems. He is a fellow of the IEEE and a fellow of the US Academy of Inventors.
